Council rules for Lucas Heights trees
Lucas Heights falls under Sutherland Shire Council. Whether you need approval depends on the tree's size, species and location, so check before work starts. Much of the Shire is bushfire prone: if your property is in a 10/50 vegetation clearing entitlement area, you may be able to clear trees within 10 metres of your home without council approval. Check your address with the NSW Rural Fire Service first. We can help you work through the council application.
See our council tree permits page for links, or just ask when we quote.
